Stroll through downtown Bisbee shops, galleries, and restaurants

Bisbee Mine Museum (a Smithsonian affiliate)

Meander through downtown Bisbee shops: Look for the guy with a mouse riding a cat riding a dog somewhere on Main Street- one of the unique inhabitants of Bisbee. Also look for the Old Hippie Santa Claus/Merlin on a bike somewhere on Main Street. Friday nights look for the Women in Black protesting on the corner across from the Post Office. Also notice the uniquely decorated vehicles driving around Bisbee: the giant Lion Head car, one covered in dolls, one covered in reflectors. Feel free to dress in pajama pants, a poncho, and sandals: you’ll fit right in!

Stroll up Brewery Gulch, once home to 44 saloons and houses of ill repute, home of St. Elmo’s bar

Tour the hilly side streets of Bisbee in your own vehicle

Movie theaters, numerous chain restaurants, mall, Walmart, Target, etc. located in Sierra Vista , a 25 minute drive

Historic Tombstone, Ramsey Canyon- a bird watchers paradise, Kartchner Caverns, San Pedro Valley and Old Mexico are all within a short drive

vintage collectibles, located just past Brewery Gulch, owned by friends- Tell Kelly and Brad the Maynards sent you!

Circle K – fast cup of coffee, emergency supplies, nearest grocery and gas to the Elliott House

Safeway – only major grocery store, located at intersection of Naco Highway and Highway 92.

Alco – next to Safeway, “Big Lots or McFrugals” type department store

Bank of America ATM machine – located in large parking lot behind old PD building which is across the street from Bisbee Mine Museum and next to the Trolley Station, another machine is also located in Bakersville, just down from the Dairy Queen next to Ace Hardware.

 

Restaurants 
(Recommendations below are based on our experience and comments from others)

Bisbee Grille- family friendly, ample seating, good food, located in the old PD building downtown

Cornucopia Cafe- good food, a little pricey, limited seating, downtown

Bisbee Coffee Company – great sandwiches, coffees

The Alley” – ice cream, drinks, tucked away in the alley of downtown Bisbee between Main Street and Subway Street , shady place to rest after window shopping.  Look for Seth the coffee guy for free samples.  Next to Reed the Bee Guy at the Honey store! 

Olde Tymers Restaurant- motorcycle riders love to hang out here, good live music, ok food, next to the Iron Man

Winchester in Copper Queen – good breakfast menu

Dot’s Diner- great food, seating for 6 in entire restaurant, located near Lowell Traffic Roundabout, nationally recognized

Tacho’s Tacos – great, reasonably priced, fast Mexican food, located on Naco Highway

El Cobre – sit down Mexican/American fare, Naco Highway

Dairy Queen – all the classics, located on Bisbee Road , closed in winter until Valentine’s Day

Safeway – good deli takeout, Naco Highway , only major grocery store in town!!

Brite Spot – steak house, good food, located on Highway 92

Cafe Roka – high priced, mixed reviews, downtown Bisbee

Hot Licks BBQ – good BBQ, live music, located in Brewery Gulch

Bisbee Breakfast Club- in Lowell after you go around the pit.  Good food, good prices, sit down atmosphere.  Kid friendly.  Next to health food store.  This street is the site of recently filmed Stephen King movie:  Desperation. 

Prickly Pear Café- located next to Castle Rock on Tombstone Canyon .  Lunch and dinner fare.  Outdoor seating.  Attached to wine shop.  Owned by next door neighbors.  Recommended.
